Nike Air Force 1 Sizing: Should You Go Half a Size Down?
WHAT’S MY SIZE? · NIKE AIR FORCE 1
A familiar silhouette, a surprisingly important sizing decision. Here is how to use Nike’s current guidance alongside Perfitt’s historical measurements without confusing the label with the room inside.

Quick answer
Nike recommends half a size down for the men’s Air Force 1 ’07. Use that model-specific advice as a starting point relative to your usual size, then check the fit on both feet. It is not a reason to keep sizing down when your toes or forefoot already feel crowded.
Perfitt’s selected historical batch contains eight Air Force 1 records under code 315122, measured on April 21, 2021. The current White/White shoe is CW2288-111. These records add physical context; they are not a new measurement of the pair on sale today.

A 260-labeled sample measured 267 mm internally, while the 270-labeled sample measured 273 mm. At label 290, the recorded length was 288 mm. The uneven relationship is exactly why these values should not become a universal “subtract a few millimeters” shopping rule.
The archive does not supply enough measurement-method detail or repeat testing to calculate personal toe clearance from these numbers. Width also varies unevenly: the 280 and 285 records read 93 and 92 mm. Keep the original values in view without treating them as a smooth size progression.

For example, US men’s 9 maps to US women’s 10.5, UK 8 and EU 42.5. Nike distinguishes the CM label from measured foot length; do not substitute either for Perfitt’s inner-length field.
Make the final choice on your feet
The following are practical try-on checks, not personalized predictions from the archive.
Average width and an everyday fit
Compare from Nike’s half-size-down starting point with your normal socks. Lace both shoes, stand and walk indoors. Look for comfortable toes and a stable heel together. A smaller number is not a better fit if walking presses your toes into the front.
Wide forefoot or a high instep
Check side pressure and pressure beneath the laces separately. Try a looser lace setup before deciding whether the shoe’s overall shape suits you. If the smaller size feels cramped, compare your usual size, but reject extra length that creates heel slip. This batch supports no fixed size increase for width or instep.
Narrow feet or a closer fit
Assess heel hold with normal lace tension. Do not take a second half-size reduction just to eliminate every trace of movement. If securing the heel requires painful tightness across the top, compare another size or shape.
Thicker socks or a roomier preference
Use those socks during the first try-on. Comfort at the forefoot and security at the heel should agree; roomier should not mean sliding forward with each step.
Frequently asked questions
Do Air Force 1s run large?
Nike’s current men’s ’07 listing says they do and advises half a size down. That guidance applies to the linked model; check other Air Force 1 variants separately.
Has Perfitt measured the current CW2288-111?
Not in the batch presented here. The eight records identify 315122 from 2021. We do not claim that current production has identical dimensions.
Can I subtract my foot length from the table?
Not to obtain reliable toe clearance. The measurement method and shoe geometry are not sufficiently documented here to support that calculation.
Should wide feet automatically size up?
No single adjustment is established by this batch. Compare pressure, toe room and heel hold together rather than solving width by adding length alone.
